TCGProtect Anti-Spam & Email Security

TCG Computer Services offers an optional, yet highly recommended monthly subscription to TCGSecure, our AntiSpam/Email Security Service which is available to our customers on a per user basis. This service provides complete inbound and outbound anti-spam, anti-virus and phishing protection, email continuity in case the power or Internet goes out, and protection against your email server becoming blacklisted. Email-borne malware is time consuming, productivity draining and dangerous, and you need to be protected.

TCGProtect can be used all mail servers, including POP, delivers flexible security with web-based policy management for users and administrators, and provides advanced scanning engines, including:

• Malware Scan – Determines if an inbound or outbound message carries a malicious payload or links to a fictitious website. Often called phishing, users are protected from identity theft and flagged messages are immediately discarded.
• Virus Scan – TCGProtect thoroughly examines inbound and outbound email messages for viruses, including the email attachments. If a virus is discovered, it is automatically discarded.
• Spam Scan – TCGProtect processes your emails through thousands of test scans to determine if they are spam or valid/clean emails. Our experience has proven 99.6% spam blocking effectiveness with a less than .04% false-positive rate. (when legitimate emails are mistakenly treated as junk mail).
• Content Scan – TCGProtect’s dynamic and “intelligent” use of its constantly evolving message database is the most comprehensive part of this email security service. It can determine if messages contain adware or spyware, if they are “phishing” with fraudulent content, if they contain adult or foreign content not suitable for your users or if they are simply things you do not wish to read.

TCGProtect automatically applies your email security policy to each message it scans. The user-friendly web interface gives you instant access to your policy settings and allows you to define them quickly and easily.

TCGProtect provides outbound content filtering as a core component of your email infrastructure. Stay off email blacklists and maximize your system resources by permitting only valid email traffic on your server.

Each outbound message transparently creates a reverse, trusted-sender entry (whitelist) for your outbound email recipients. When you initiate an email to a contact, that email recipient will be transparently added to your whitelist and their reply to you will bypass your spam filters, as long as it doesn’t contain a virus.
